Girls & Boys is back once again at Webster Hall this Friday night. This time its LA Riots, Wolfgang Gartner, and Brooklyn’s own Nick Catchdubs filling up the dance floor. adFunture is showing several upcoming figures at their TTF booth including The Prostitute by Dutch illustrator and street artist Parra . “The Prostitute” brings to life one of his 2D characters into a 3D world.
But instead of turning toy-tricks along Taiwan streets, Parra’s signature-styled beak-faced femme fatale was on window display at the recent Taipei Toy Festival (July 9-12).
This toy is set to come out Fall 2009. I can’t wait!
If this character looks familiar, it’s because she was the video vixen in Le Le’s video “Breakfast” last year. Check it out!

Violca (Mansion) is always on her grind, if she isn’t playing gigs or producing with Mansion with partner Barletta, she is playing a set or producing for her solo act as Wolfman. ADHD Theater consist of Duncan Mountford and Paul Davenport. These two cats love to party hard and their music reflects that lifestyle for damn sure. These guys haven’t really been playing many live shows but have been focusing more on the production aspect. They will have a few mixtapes coming out soon too. Their hard work will pay off once these tracks start circulating the net and offers will start rolling in like Nazi Germany through Poland. Download their latest releases below.

Golden Gloves have been making tons of noise in the recent months through out the “blogosphere” with their huge remix of Major Lazers “Hold The Line”. Say Whoa! The iconic creature used in various DJ A-Trak projects, and designed by artist Dust La Rock, has been crafted into an 8 inch plastic toy. Kid Robot will be releasing a limited run of 500 “Grateful Bear” figures, which come outfitted with a gold-plated A-Trak necklace, leather cuff, cotton sweatband, snowcapped igloo, fitted cap and wayfarers.
The A-Trak x Dust La Rock x Kidrobot “Grateful Bear” will be available July 2nd at Kidrobot and other select retailers for $50USD.
A-Trak will be signing his new toy this Wednesday July 1st, the day before it officially drops with Dust La Rock at the Kidrobot store in New York (118 Prince Street) from 6-8pm.
I’m a huge fan of A-Trak and Kidrobot, and if I wasn’t stuck in Toronto celebrating Canada Day on Wednesday, I would totally hit up this signing.
Luckily us Torontonians don’t have to wait too long to see A-Trak. He’s going to be playing at the Sound Academy on Saturday July 25th for the Time Fesival. Wicked Line up! I can’t wait!!!
